A fine list. I need to listen to all of these, along with the other hundreds of items socked away in my Spotify queue and YouTube Watch Later playlist!
You’re in my wheelhouse now! I love that you added the likes of the Blasters and Lone Justice, groups I didn’t play on the air at the time (I started in country radio just a year later) but I did spin them at home constantly, and they both influenced what became mainstream country a short time later.
I revisited ‘Rhythm & Romance’ recently, as I do every decade or so, and it’s amazing how fresh it still sounds. The slick production actually enhances its timelessness, something many pop-leaning efforts from the mid ‘80s failed to capture for the long haul.
Wow, I don't know that I've listened to that Rosanne Cash album, and that song sounds great.

A fun trip into the memory banks!
Love this!
Lone Justice shoulda’ been bigger. With Geffen behind them and a couple of MTV hits, I never could understand why it all fizzled out so soon.
