Charles recently contributed an article about Talibah Safiya to the new Memphis-themed edition of the Oxford American’s annual Southern Music issue. He’s written about Safiya’s remarkable music here before, and he was thrilled to contribute an essay spotlighting Safiya’s new version of her song “Delicious” that’s featured on the album that accompanies the issue. He’s honored to be part of such an amazing line-up of writers, especially since he gets to talk about one of his favorite young artists from the Bluff City or anywhere else. Check it out here!
